Request removal of your personal data from SideKyk

Your Right to Data Deletion

At SideKyk, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of all data associated with your account at any time. This includes:

  • Your account information (name, email, phone number)
  • All conversation history with the AI assistant
  • AI memory and personalization data
  • Generated files and documents
  • Team membership and organization data
  • Usage logs and analytics data

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@sidekyk.ai with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • The phone number associated with your SideKyk account
  • The email address associated with your account

Option 2: WhatsApp Message

Send the message /delete-my-data to your SideKyk assistant on WhatsApp. You will receive a confirmation message and your data will be queued for deletion.

What Happens After You Request Deletion

  1. Confirmation: We will send you an email confirming receipt of your request within 2 business days.
  2. Processing: Your data will be permanently deleted from our active systems within 30 days.
  3. Backup Removal: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which it is automatically purged.
  4. Completion Notice: You will receive a final email confirming that your data has been fully deleted.

Data We May Retain

In certain cases, we may be required to retain some data:

  • Legal obligations: Data required for compliance with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations.
  • Dispute resolution: Data needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
  • Aggregated data: Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics.

Facebook/Meta Login Data Deletion

If you signed up via Facebook or connected your account through Meta services, you can also request data deletion through the following process:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy > Settings
  2. Click "Apps and Websites" under Security
  3. Find SideKyk and click "Remove"
  4. Additionally, email privacy@sidekyk.ai to confirm full deletion from our systems
